The Role and Legacy of the Bells
The Bells, young ladies who accompany the Beaus throughout the Kappa Beautillion Militaire experience, represent grace, poise, and partnership in this transformative journey. Their presence is rooted in tradition, dating back to the early years of the Beautillion’s founding in 1976, when the Columbia Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. first launched the program as part of its Guide Right initiative.
More than ceremonial escorts, the Bells participate in select workshops and events that emphasize social etiquette, cultural awareness, and community engagement. Their involvement reflects the program’s commitment to holistic development, highlighting the importance of mutual respect, collaboration, and excellence among young men and women.
Together, the Beaus and Bells embody the values of leadership, scholarship, and service — presenting a unified image of promise and purpose that continues to inspire generations.
